Join us for a fun and educational class about Pruning and Caring for Grapes in Central Oregon with Kerry Damon.

Kerry comes to us with over 23 years of experience as a viticulturist and vineyard manager in Oregon and California. He is an advocate of growing cold hardy grapes in Central Oregon and most recently earned a gold medal at a prestigious national competition for the grapes he grew in Terrebonne, Oregon.

Weather you are looking to grow grapes to make wine or table grapes for eating, this is a great educational class for you!

Class outline: (This may change slightly, we will update early May 2024)-Central Oregon’s climate for grape growing (whether its wine grapes or table grapes)

-Selecting a site for planting

-What grape varieties to consider for growing in Central Oregon (we’ll have several varieties available for purchase)

-Growing Requirements

-Pruning techniques used for grapes in general - table grapes versus wine grapes
